Add same words to multiple titles
Hey Guys,
I have a number of books I'd like to add the same words infront of. To many to do each individually. Is it possible to do it in edit bulk metadata or some other way? Thanks |

This is a Library Management topic <Moved>. Editor is for Inside a Book
You used the correct words: Bulk Metadata Edit Select Books: Tap 'E" Because you selected multiple books, you are in Bulk mode Bulk mode has a Search and Replace tab, where you can do Bulk editing of the metadata. (Simple Metadata changes can be done from the main tab, just like would be done in Single mode) Now the Caution - Tip IMHO don't mangle a standard field like Title, Author Those are used to do many things in their proper format If you need/want additional data when transferring to devices, use the (device driver) Template or Plugboard. This leaves the Library data pristine |

Pictures (examples) are worth a 1000 words .
Before: To Add: After: A Phrase is made up of words. If you can type multiple words there, you can bulk mode it IMHO the only proper place for Phrases is in a Comments (type) field A short phrase could be a Tag. IMHO Tags are keywords |

I want to add "This Book is number "
All the titles I want to add to are number 1 2 3 and so on. So after each title will say "This Book is number 1" "This Book is number 2" and so on thanks |

Quote:
But This Book(is) [1] really a (fake) Series-series-index You can not have a blank series name (OR A BLANK INDEX: 0 is valid) The Manage Series Plugin can help you order, name and number a SINGLE group of book The Send template {title} -{Series} is {series_index} < note the use of a literal with a template |
