When will the iBookstore go live?
Does anyone know how this will work? When will it go live? Is it a separate store from the App Store is will it be embedded in the App Store somehow. I realize that no one may know until the time comes, but just curious if I have missed some news somewhere.

Also, iBooks is only for the U.S. for the time being. It will be later in the year at the earliest before any other countries get access. This is another opportunity for Kindle, B&N and others to move in and claim iPad ebook brainshare.

Given that they have confirmed the app supports non-drm epub too, here's hoping the app is available when the ipad launches in other countries even if the store takes longer to turn up.

I hope it is available too. But, even if it isn't, it is easy enough to sign up for an account on the US Itunes store. Then downloading it won't be a problem.
