Moving from PRS500 to PRS505

Have searched the forum but can't find advice on whether books purchased for PRS500 can be loaded to a PRS505 if I decide to upgrade my ereader.

And is it possible to operate both the new and old PRS ereaders using Sony's ebook library?

Yes, you can have up to 6 devices registered/authorized to your Sony account... this include readers and PCs. All 6 devices will be able to read all purchases on the account.

You can also unauthorize your PRS500 and add your PRS500 if you want to do that.

Just a clarification: you meant unauthorize the PRS-500 and add the PRS-505. However there's no reason you can't have both Readers authorized simultaneously, as you stated already, which I'm doing right now until I'm happy my brand-spanking-new 505 has no defects and I de-authorize my old PRS-500 in prep to listing it for sale (with a cradle, leather cover, etc...)
