ereader library search capability?

Could someone tell me which of the readers have a search capability for searching text within the documents across the full library? For example, finding the phrase "economic downturn" in every book and pdf in the full library? Also, for the few that have this feature, could you mention whether it's fast or slow?

My students need this capability for searching libraries of current events topics which they currently download by hand but which we hope to capture via RSS feeds soon.

Many thanks!

Carole

The Kindle will do that. Don't know about other ereaders.

The Kindle is the only one I'm aware of which will do it. The majority of reading devices can search within a document or book, but searching across the library is not a common capability.

full library search

Do you mean the Kindle Fire does a full library search? I don't think the regular Kindle does.

Thanks!

No idea about the Fire, but the eInk Kindle's do.

No, the "regular" Kindle does it.
