Exclamation Calibre does not recognize the new Kindle Oasis
The new Kindle Oasis was delivered today.

Calibre 3.10 [64bit] does not recognize the new Kindle Oasis.
The Firmeware-Version is 5.9.0.6

Does anyone else have the same problem?

In the mean time, you can of course do a "Save to disk" from Calibre, and then manually copy the books to the "document" folder on the Kindle.

I'm sure that Kovid will be quick to add support when you've provided the required information. This is sure to be a very popular device!

Yeah you just need ot post the debug device output from the link latepaul posted earlier, it should just need the addition of the product id to the existing kindle driver to support it.

Yes, apparently this device has a differnt BCD than the other kindles. I have added the new BCD to the driver.

Sorry to impose, Kovid, but is there any chance of an early release? Many of us will be getting our new Kindles on the official release date next Tuesday, and I at least rather rely on Calibre, and don't have the knowledge to build from source.

Or failing that, could some kind person with the knowledge to do so build just the Kindle driver and post it here?

Simply download and install over your existing calibre.
