Puzzled
Did I cross some unknown line by posting a thought on the (I guess now defunct) Amanda Knox book discussion? I saw that the thread had been moved, and when I clicked on it to see where it had been moved to, I got a message that I did not have sufficent privilege to access the thread - or similar language.
Did I break a rule somewhere? |

Not at all. The thread was moved to our Politics and Religion forum. Those members wishing to seriously discuss topics that are in the realm of politics and religion are invited to join our special usergroup ('Hardened Debaters'). Just go to your User CP, then click 'Join Groups', then click on 'Hardened Debaters'. You will be asked to agree that you can handle the discussions that take place there in a mature and respectable manner. Unless you are a member, the forum does not show on our main forum page.
The below announcement post by Alex explains the P&R forum in more detail. Spoiler:

I see; thanks for letting me know so quickly. =)
No, I'm not interested in discussing politics or religion here, I just commented on the the books written about the case. |

You can still join the group and not discuss P&R. Joining the group only makes the forum visible for you, participating or not is up to you

I had the same thing happen as pendragginp. And I'm still confused. What do books about the Amanda Knox case have to do with religion or politics?

We have had contentious discussions about this case and those discussions are now in the P&R forum. Due to the tendency of this topic to move into heated discussions about the various aspects of the case, evidence, and each country's judicial system differences, we decided to keep the discussions in the P&R forum.
