Good looking cat, Kenny, but he looks like he's plotting something evil against you. Then again, all cats look that way, even ours. That's right, Kenny! Even our cat looks like he's plotting something evil against you!
Issybird already mentioned the outdoor pool at the local university. I'd like to mention the backyard pool my wife bought makes me and Norton happy. He's a freak behind swimming. All he has to do is hear me say the words "pool" or "swim" or see me getting my trunks on and he goes bonkers! I do wish it were an in-ground pool so that 85-pound Crystal could join us as well, but I did order a set of booties for her last night that hopefully will enable her to join in the fun without ripping the liner to shreds. This photo is about three years old. I really need to take some new pictures. Norton's a bit bigger now, and I rarely put the life jacket on him these days. Also my hair is considerably longer and for some unknown reason has turned nearly completely platinum blond. Must be repressed genes expressing themselves. That's okay. I may be old enough to draw social security, but I'm still pretty. |

That someone opened such a thread makes me happy! Thanks, Tom!
And, so that you don't think my happiness only depends on things someone at the other end of the world does : Today my daughter comes back home after a short vacation. That sure makes me very happy! |

Which one is Norton? Oh, yeah, right, the one with the life jacket!

I just had me some strawberry shortcake, loaded down with plenty of scrumdiddlyumpsious fresh strawberries and mountains of whipped cream. Now me and my stomach are good to go!

Oh, yum. That does sound good. Now I want something sweet and all I have are M&M's.

Speaking of printers, my old color/inkjet printer died a few months ago and I replaced it with an all-in-one and it's great (and didn't cost much more than the printer only) -- also got a cheap Brother Laser printer and I love it!
I'm happy that I'm almost done with an essay I'm writing (hopefully just one more editing pass) and will start the marketing process today. |

Looks like a sunny day here, too. It's not suppose to go any higher than the low 80s (about 27° for the rest of you). The booties I ordered for Crystal are out for delivery. Crystal, Norton, and I may all go swimming today.

I'm happy because the electric company in my neighborhood is AWESOME...haven't lost power through all of the storms from TS Debby.
And, because dogs are my primary Happy-Happy, I am very happy that I had stocked up on dog food before being trapped in the house by flooded streets! |
