We've also lost Robert Walker (Charlie X from the Original Star Trek series) and René Auberjonois who played Odo on Star Trek: Deep space 9.

A virtual candle for Caroll Spinney who gave us both a lovable yellow bird and a grumpy grouch on Sesame Street for so many years.

And played Father Mulcahey in M.A.S.H., and was in Boston Legal .... and more that I didn't watch and so don't recall.

I first saw him on "Benson." He was a man of wide talents as an actor.

To avoid confusion - he was Dr. Mulcahey in the M.A.S.H. film, not the TV show.

Well, that might add a bit to the confusion, as he was Fr. Mulcahey, not Dr. Mulcahey.

A virtual candle for Jack Sheldon who left us Dec. 27th at age 88. He did vocals for some of the school house rock shorts back in the 70's. Jack Sheldon

His biggest hit seems to be "I'm just a Bill" on how bills become a law. Even I remember that one!

I want to light a virtual candle for a friend of mine, Jim Ferris. He passed away on Sunday afternoon at age 71. He'd been ill for some time with a variety of problems and done a bit of ping ponging between the hospital and one of the local nursing homes where he'd been receiving treatment.

I'd like to light a (battery-operated LED) candle for my burning country, and for all the people, wildlife, and endangered plants in danger or already killed.

Like most of the world, I've been following along with the news reports. It's a remarkable tragedy, but I'm inspired by the response I've seen from emergency workers.
