Can’t get title sorting to work properly with series that has decimal places

I’m using the following metadata plugboard which I previously found on this forum, as follows:

{series}{series_index:0>2s| #| – }{title}

On my Kindle, I’m sorting by list view, by Author.

And it’s sorting like this

Percy Jackson #1.50 - Book 1.5 title
Percy Jackson #01 - Book 1 title

How do I get it so that #01 appears prior to #1.50

Not crazy about the mixing of formats either, #01 doesn’t go well with #1.50 but not the end of the world, having it appear in the correct order would be the most important.

Almost forgot to mention that Calibre sorts it properly in library view but it’s’s the Kindle that does not.

You don't, because 01 and 1.5 sort differently (alpha-sort).
01 an 01.5 might sort correctly.
But Series_Index values DOES NOT belong in the title column
Series: Percy Jackson [1.5] and Percy Jackson [1] will sort Numericaly

Some sellers only accept integer values for series, some accept text. Also version is an issue with some only taking integer, some decimal, some versioning (11.23.174 etc) and some text.

I understand why some series end up with fractional series numbers.
