There are three versions on sale (one "original", more or less, one movie-tie-in and an enhanced version with improved illustrations and embedded audio by Tolkien). Two are tied to the audiobook, the latter is not.

Also a $17 illustrated version "on sale" (vs. the $35 list price, anyway).

I just noticed that Colin McComb's first novel is free on the amazon store. McComb is probably best known for writing the video game Planescape Torment which is considered by many the best computer roleplaying game of all time.
