Thank you for posting this. Interesting to see some numbers of booksales - maybe not typical, but not at the top or bottom. Non comment of Hachette authors is weird too - seeing the one that did was clearly not pro-Amazon.

They weren't trying to lower the price that Amazon pays to the publisher, only the price that they turn around and resell it for. The publisher got the same amount/book and sold more books in that model. And the customers could buy more books for the same amount of money. Everybody wins.
