What type of leisure activity do you practice on the KFire
I'm curious about what new Kindle Fire users are actually doing with the new gadget....

I picked mixed, as I really use it for all those things. I also plan to use it for mobile document editing.

Mostly for reading in my case, but a close second is browsing the web when away from my computer.

For me it's about 70% reading including books, NYT and graphic novels. In that I also count "social news" that I get through Google reader. Then about 20% for web and 10% email. No games for me.

Mixed here. Primarily reading (books, mags, news), then video, audio (Slacker cached radio stations, podcasts), little web browsing. I haven't played any games yet.

I use mine for listening to music. It makes a great desktop radio if you own TuneIn Pro. It doesn't use much battery at all.
I also use it for Reading. I use Mantano as my default reading app. It's an epub reader but it allows me to change the background color and brightness of the book so I can read comfortable. I do this before bed each night. Read about 3 to 5 chapters so I can wind down and sleep. I surf alot. Facebook works great on Silk. I use the Pulse app for my Google reader and so I can up to date on my RSS feeds and then I have Opera Mobile for other surfing sites that Silk doesn't like. I also listen to podcasts. I have watched a few videos and played Angry birds when I am bored. I even use it for recipes. I use Google docs for my recipes so I can use the Quick Office app to access them when I am cooking. |

Reading and a few games.
Have to watch out not to load too many games to it, or it will share the same tragic fate as my iPad - claimed by my kids for playing and no longer available for me for reading. Best regards, Andy |

As a musical instrument , drawing, radio, magazines, managing my finances, observing the weather, document editing, reading comics/books, and gaming.
Just typical stuff really. |
