Hello everyone,I'm afraid that I am not very computer literate, I joined this forum in an attempt to find some help. I have a PRS-600 and it has died.
I have tried the reset proceedure but it has not brought the reader back to life. Before the reader died I was experiencing difficulty in keeping it charged, the charge indicator went very quickley from full charge to 'battery low' after some minutes reading. I would be very grateful for any help. Please keep comments clear and simple-I will celebrate my 79th birthday ina few weeks(hopefully). |

Hi noel.heading2 and welcome to MobileRead. How are you charging your reader; via the USB or an AC adapter?

Good to have your company, Noel. With a Sony device, you cannot rely on a USB charge from a computer or laptop, and the battery meter is terribly over-optimistic and misleading. You'll probably find -- as I did on advice from here a couple of years ago -- that if you give your machine a full AC mains charge overnight, and do that every week or two, you'll solve all problems. Good luck and best wishes. Neil
