My DPT-RP1 will not update to 1.6 firmware
Is anyone having this problem? I called sony and they said there are no updates, lol It always says "Your software is up to date." but mine is still on 1.4.01.16100

Based on the Sony.co.jp website the firmware has been removed due to some issues and details will be provided at a later date. https://www.sony.jp/digital-paper/update/

successfully flashed a CP1 to 1.6.00.15110 a few weeks ago.

Another problem consistently appear every 2-3 days. The touch input will stop working. No page turns from swipe and no tool bar menu by touching the screen. Pushing the Home Button twice(open and close the Home menu) seems to reset the bug.

This bug was not experienced pre-1.6.

I have the 1.6 on RP1 (hacked, for kindle and such). And also have problems with touch input. From time to time the device will stop responding to input for several seconds. Then it wakes up again, and all is good.

Not that unusual for a niche product that has the primary development in Japan. If you visit the JP site there is actually a lot more info and templates for the DP including a PDF that functions as a calendar

This is a gem! The approach is novel as they used the PDF bookmarking feature to create a usable calender. I wonder if the PDF's embedded javascript feature can be leveraged to make simple apps.
