What if, instead of trying to wipe out humans, Skynet actually decided to help humanity...by improving them via converting all of the humans into cyborgs?

The ones who could truly afford it--yes. At least mapping and uploading their brain's data...

Why can't they move the Leap Day to the last day of the year? It would make more sense.

Could the future of music be minimalism? What if people start reverting back to simplicity when it comes to music, with the most popular songs being just one person singing while playing the guitar or the piano? Overproduction becomes a thing of the past with people just wanting simple heart-felt songs.

Why was 8.5" by 11" paper established as the common paper size in the U. S.? It seems strange but when you adjust the size of either dimension it just seems wrong...could the size of letter paper have some mystical significance that just makes it...right?

No, sorry...
I finished chanting mantras... No, I have one more, then to church I go... a hell and damnation church... for a food box. I wish I was going to an opera house with a McDonald's! Last edited by trichobezoar; 03-24-2019 at 11:13 AM. |

Do fountain pens provide a better writing experience than other types of pens? A common comment about them is how smooth it is to write with one. While it does take a bit of practice to write well with one, it is worth mastering.
Although my experience with them indicates that this is generally the case, there is also something to be said about rollerball pens. Rollerball pens are often are nearly as smooth as fountain pens when it comes to writing without the disadvantages of fountain points (smearing, can't be used to write on "carbon copy" forms, often a thicker line, a need to maintain the pen). While gel pens are great to write with and are often as smooth, if not smoother, to write with than either fountain point or rollerball pens, they have the disadvantage of smearing ink and a thick line. Still, it was nice to write with one although their issues caused me to abandon them. |

I've wondered why time lords are only allowed 12 regenerations. Although it is possible that they can be granted a new set (as The Master was offered), why was it limited to 12 in a cycle?
A theory I have is that the reason that it was limited to 12 is due to a limitation in a time lords brain. Although vast, it is likely that a time lords brain only has a limited capacity. The regeneration limit might have been set due this. Based on this theory, I could imagine the following situation: In the future the far The Doctor encounters a companion who meant a great deal to him in the past (such as Susan, Jamie, Sarah Jane Smith, Rose Tyler, Amy Pond), and he has absolutely no memory of him/her. It is not just that the memory is repressed, but it is completely gone due to The Doctor's mind needing more memory space. Due to this, the companion is a complete stranger to him now. |
