New owner from Vancouver BC

Hi Everyone,
I just got my PRS 505 today and have downloaded 2 books to get me started.
So far i love it, I should say I purchased it through e bay from the states. I hope it turns out ok, the price I paid was $287.00 Can plus free shipping. Is that a decent price.
From what I read I should now pick up a wall charger as well?

Welcome Kerry - hope you enjoy your Reader.

I have had mine for some months now and have never had the need to purchase a wall charger (I just use the USB cable whenever I'm using the computer). I guess if you travel a lot without a computer it may be necessary?

PS. I am so jealous of you being in Vancouver - my brother lives there and we visited last summer and absolutely loved the place!

That sounds like an excellent price for a PRS-505, especially in $CA.

You can pick up a wall charger at a sonystyle retail outlet or sonystyle.ca or, as others havel suggested, a charger for the SoNY PSP works just as well. I have a wall charger and like it since it gives a full deep charge in less than 2 hours.

Hi kerry and welcome to MobileRead. I got a wall charger several months after I got my 505 and find it very useful. As WetDogEared says, it'll charge your reader up quicker than the USB cable. And you can read while it's charging which you cannot do with the USB cable.
