screen updates (images)

Hello

Trying the device with few image comics, I see a "problem" with update or refresh of the screen.

When I close the document, the device doesn't clean the entire screen and I can see icons and the image with a little gray on the background.

Is this normal or is a defective unit?

I think it is normal. I tend to see it more when using te menu rather than anything else though.

I see that occasionally too, sometimes when getting out of a doc with scribbles, or some FBReader not exiting cleanly. Usually pulling up the menu once or twice clears it. Nothing to worry about.

BTW, your Imageshack attachments didn't work for me, why not use Mobileread's own "Manage Attachments"? Works pretty well unless you have something really unusual and/or large to post...

That just looks like normal eInk "ghosting". Text doesn't tend to be as noticeable when it ghosts, because usually you've got new text on top of the old text, etc. It's more noticeable on graphics or icons. Once you do a couple refreshes without the graphics, those ghost images should go away.

Looks like standard non-Vizplex ghosting.
