Black spot on Kindle DX screen
Mr. Manou noticed yesterday the sudden appearance of a black spot on his Kindle DX, is is fairly large and very noticeable:

Is there anything that can be done or is he better off hoping to get a new Kindle from Santa?

As some speculate Kindle DX is being end-of-lifed, so if you want a new Kindle DX and want to guarantee getting one, probably better act sooner rather than later.

Thank you everybody, I already ordered a new one for Mr. Manou as a Christmas pressie, he just doesn't like the smaller Kindles as he has quite a number of manuals in PDF format in his library.
