That functionality only works if the device exposes itself to Calibre as though it was a USB drive, and according to that debug log your device does not do this.

No "send to device button"

thanks for reply, after trying various things, I now realize that that is the problem. Can it be changed to recognize it? If so how.

I also set the usb connection on my tablet storage setting to "Media device" (MPT), Calibre still does not see it.
Any suggestions?

MPT is NOT what you want if you want calibre to see it.

You could save to folder on your HD, then drag the books to the 'Media drive' (MPT) . Calibre won't be able to keep track of those books ON the tablet.

For an alternative, see Calibre Companion Beta: Information, Change Log, and FAQ:
Quote:
Calibre Companion is an Android app that permits Android devices to connect to calibre as a reading device, as opposed to connecting to the content server.

Thanks, I will look at it, right now i am dragging it manually to my Kindle file using the device button I set up. It works fine but was hoping to have a one step process through Calibre.
Thanks again to all.
