Nvida sees iPad as a thing of the past
Kind of interesting take on Android. Kind of mirrors a conversation we had on the board some time ago about how Apple develops product vs Google.

We can say that Android will have won ONLY when it caused Apple sales to slow. At this point, Apple is still selling every single iDevice it makes and demand has not lessened any.
These CEO's are just spewing rhetoric. |

I think we're getting close to the point where Android will start eating into Apple sales. Android has an awful lot of momentum, and it's still a fairly immature OS. If things stabilize at say 3.1, and Google delivers a quality product that works on both tablets and phones, it could put a real dent in Apple's sales.

One of the more successful android devices didnt promise the world (the nook color) In my opinion the other device manufacturers should follow Barnes & noble's lead. Stop selling spec's start selling actual funcionality! |

specs are important too. people like to brag about the insides even when they don't understand them.
it's weird that in one breath the guy's scratching his head on why android tablets aren't selling but in the second breath says android tablets will outsell ipads. |

It's not so weird if you think about it. The guy is saying this, with many hands in the development of android the development will bout be fluid and consistent at first, but through the collaboration of many the best features and experience will be rapidly developed. Where in Apple's case they are only one company with complete control. So there startup time is fast, but over the ling haul they will get out paced. It gives credence to two heads were better than one. |

In smart phones, Android has gone from ~10% to 36% over 1 year (source).
You'd expect them to do the same in tablets; we shall see in a year or two. |

i generally spend a week minimum before i buy product. that being said, i wonder why didn't see as many problems with the UK version of the tf as in the american version. ours must have been done in a big rush. |
