How to switch to cover view?

In all the screenshots I see a cover view - where it looks like the books are on a shelf. All I seem to be able to get is list view.

I must be missing something very basic - how do I switch between the two views?

In the lower right corner you should see an icon made up of squares three rows by three columns. Clicking that will bring up the cover grid. You can customize how it looks under Preferences--->Look & Feel--->Cover Grid.

Ahhh - thanks for the quick response. I know why I missed that - it looks like it's only available on local books? It doesn't show up when connected to a content server?

No. Neither the content server nor the cloud connection support a cover grid.

Sorry to Necro this, but..

Is this ever going to be implemented? It's been 6 years, and it still is not a feature in Calibre Companion?

Well that was a dumb question, lol. It's there in Wireless Device, but not the others. Ah well.

In case you didn't realize, Calibre Companion should be considered AbandonWare. Sam announced a year ago that he was trying to sell the product, and since then (in fact even before that) has disappeared
