In this sequel to Mollie and the Unwiseman, as you might expect from the title, our three adventurers visit Europe. Mollie, Whistlebinkie the rubber doll, and old Mr. Me are not quite typical travelers, and have some very giggle-worthy experiences, while Bangs takes the opportunity to poke a bit of gentle fun at tourists and tourism. The entire production is enlivened by delightful color illustrations from cartoonist Grace Wiederseim, the creator of the Campbell Soup Kids.

John Kendrick Bangs (May 27, 1862 – January 21, 1922) was an American author, humorist, and satirist. Between 1884 and 1906, he worked as editor at a number of magazines; then switched his focus to the lecture circuit. A prolific writer, he had more than sixty books published.

He wrote extensively in the genre of “Bangsian fantasy,” which sets the plot wholly or partially in the afterlife, with important fictional and historical personalities humorously portrayed as characters.
