The Once and Future King is available (in the UK, at least).
Ditto for 2001. Geographical restrictions strike again, I suppose :s |

By the way - I'm completely distraught also that a great deal of Le Guin's works are not available as ebooks: Rocannon's World, The Word for World is Forest, Threshold, the Earthsea books, The Dispossessed, The Left Hand of Darkness.
It's a crying shame. |

Le Guin is certainly a weirdo.
Happy to do bits and pieces at Book View Cafe but won't sell her work? Very strange. Is Ringworld Macmillan? If so, you may get it a few seconds before Hell freezes over. Again, of course, one available free at the usual places for years and years. |

I'm a little hesitant to call anyone a weirdo until after I have dealt with them directly and gotten to know them. |

What I find hard to understand are works from authors who are still active and could
be building their readership, if these "Out of ePrint" books were in circulation. (I find it even harder to live with where a series is only partially available in ebook form.) Hopefully, we are just going through a transition period, with both advantages and disadvantages for the consumer. I would hope that authors are getting the message that they need not let their books go "out of print" and off the market, at the publisher's option, anymore. Luck; Ken |

The Dispossessed and The Word for World is Forest are available from most ebook stores (at least in the US).

So weirdly anti-ebook, or incompetent in those two scenarios, one or the other. |

Nope. And again, books that have been available for free for many years.
