Newegg has the white Astak Mentor for $199 with free shipping in the United States (except AK, HI and PR). I know CES is around the corner, but this might be a good deal for some. Here's the link:

nice find but after CES these could well be $149...why buy last years device tomorrow?

Then again we bought a new Kindle 2 from Amazon for $159 today (we did have to get a new Audible subscription to get that great price though) so what the heck do I know?

And while I would never buy one I will say people seem really happy with their Mentor's and $199 seems good. I wonder though how it will compare with the new Cool-er models and even more, the new Pocketbook models and prices.

I know with all of the new readers coming out, all the current models should decrease in price a good bit. That is unless the new devices are just that much more expensive. But we'll see this week.
