Cool Firmware hacking for fun

The jetbooks are good devices per se, but could be improved.

The manufacturer can't cope with the users' needs, sugestions or wishes in timely fashion, since we can ask for an improvemnt or a defect resolution much faster than they can be solved (I am an engineer and I think that any product that claims to be defect free wasn't examined by me. And I think that many engineers are just the same.)

I was thinking to create a small guide to firmware hacking, with tips, file structure and how-tos so people could try to make small (or big) modifications to improve jetbooks behaviour (with the not so uneven risk of turning it into a paper weight).

Any brave souls would like to join?

It sounds cool!!
I don't know how much I can. If you gave some guide, I will try to improve my Jetbook.

I will try to start this weekend, with instructions found on other threads explaining how to open the firmware contents on your computer and something abouth the file structure.
