The number of people on hold info in the book description seems to hit-or-miss at the NC digital library. I just put a book on hold. In the book description it said only "copies available 0" and "library copies 1". I didn't get to find out where I was in the list ('you are next") until I put the book on hold. However, I have seen other books that did have this information in the book listing.

I think what you're describing has been true for awhile....if there's no one in line, then when you borrow it, it says you're next. But it doesn't show "people in line 0".

If I'm remembering it right, with the latest redesign, if it showed nothing, it also could mean it's a preorder. I had to do a quick check on one of the books I've got a hold that's also a future release - and it does show # people waiting per copy now.

But I swear Overdrive is turning into Firefox, where every time you turn around something in the graphic design has moved, disappeared, or changed purpose. I liked it better when there were larger updates with more time between. *grumble grumble*
