There are many CSS streams in nickel (currently 151, to be precise).
Figuring out what each of them do is educated guesswork. Occasionally, by trial and error, one is found to be quite useful for tweaking the GUI appearance. Lo and behold, a new patch is born! The one you posted looks like something which might be aimed at allowing independent setting of the RGB colours of the ComfortLight. This feature doesn't currently exist as far as I know ... but you never know. Maybe it was a 'good idea' which never blossomed. Or, then again, I could be completely wrong! I suspect there are several CSS streams in nickel which are never used. |

I'd prefer a breakthrough for a color device.

Is there no way to get the old home screen back as I didn't see it in the patch? Or has Kobo allowed people to do it themselves now?

Disable reading footer?
Is there a patch like the old one "Disable reading footer" for 4.4.9344? I want to completely remove the footer and use the whole page for the text.
The old one: Spoiler:

Thank you! I didn't notice nikel.patch file
FullScreenReading is working but it leaves absolutely no space and text is very close to the bezel. The patch is perfect! |
