I also agree that when Apple does include it, the world will marvel. |

This talk of tags is pretty laughable. Like I'm going to glue a bunch of stickers to my car and house so I can turn off wifi for half an hour at a time. Please.
Where NFC could be genuinely useful today is for use on public transport. Paris, London, and Montreal—to cite only three cities—use RFID-enabled swipe cards to ride the bus and metro. An app that allowed you to buy tickets or subscribe to weekly/monthly passes using your phone, then swipe your phone across a reader to enter the station, would be a genuine improvement over the minor hell of transit cards and recharge stations that exists now. That is an implementation that would benefit millions. |

Yes, I'm laughing at the folks who can't enjoy this technology by their own choosing. Of course, I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Now Apple is being accused of out right stealing the design for the iOS6 clock. So much for innovation:
http://gizmodo.com/5945008/apple-tot...s-6-ipad-clock Obviously, they didn't steal anything from Google Maps and decided to go it alone: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...88J19U20120921 Be careful if you happen to be using Apple maps driving to the Norwegian town of Leknes. Rough start for iOS6. Last edited by obsessed2; 09-21-2012 at 11:46 AM. |
