Quick announcement!

ShortNCuddlyAm and I have been married for 13 years as of today, and have now been together for 16 1/2 years.

Not bad for two painfully shy people who were setup on a blind date at university all those years ago. Was the first date ever for both of us (like I said, we were both very shy), so I guess there really is such a thing as love at first sight

And by set up, he means pestered unmercifully (in my case, chased around a supermarket!) by a mutual friend until we agreed to at least meet each other.

Congratulations! Thirteen down, 47 to go! (at the very least)

While I think most of us are leary about blind dates, sometimes the matchmaker has ulterior motives. I'm responsible for introducing my sister to her husband, and I'm so glad that they hit it off -- he was a really good friend, and I'm glad to have been able to bring him into the family.
