Looks like the first batch of tablets is shipping to Amazon.
Kindle World has reported that the first shipments of Amazon 7" tablets is shipping to Amazon with a possibility of a 10.1" model before Christmas.

Yeah, sounds very interesting. Now let just hope that Amazon gets around to making the announcement sooner rather than later.

Just wanted to make clear that I was (for Kindleworld) reporting only what Digitimes in Asia was saying.

It's a main source for all the online gadget sites, but some of its info is conflicting with its own past reports and with other rumor sources but it names companies and supposed orders for parts etc.

I keep a special page of running rumors that are treated more seriously by most of the news sites. But a runthrough of those will show how differently the various 'sources' for each have seen things! That includes what chips would be in them, what sizes the units might be, etc.
