I can remember my parents buying more expensive sofas once and discovered that wasn't a good idea with two young children and three cats. They've been doing well with furniture, but the rush weaved dinning chair seats were too much of an temptation. We've bought pillows to solve that problem, which also makes them a bit more comfortable to sit on. They're favourite toy is a thin foam insulation rod, a left over from my father's attempt to have no gap between the sash window and the window screen. My mother wasn't allowed to throw it away and put it away behind a sofa (to throw it away once my father had forgotten about it). The kittens keep dragging it out and across the room, at least it isn't a useless purchase anymore. Plus it's funny to see the kittens drag the meter long rod across the room, tripping themselves up. |

Monday is chore day and I've almost finished all my chores. I only need to wait for the dryer to finish and fold my laundry. Until then I can read, and after folding I can go back to reading.
This week's Christmas card chores is cut out all the shapes I need in blue, brown and glitter paper. I also need to decide which is quicker: being able to cut multiple shapes from the same coloured paper at once with my big die cutter, or cut one or two shapes at the time with my small die cutter. |

Another "it hurt to move" Monday. Blocked salivary gland required at trip to the Doctor, but the steroids and antibiotics worked.
On the good front, My sister is visiting and is going to be making most excellent home made cinnamon rolls. (with dried cherries instead of raisins. . . ) Kidney stone last week, blocked salivary gland the weekend. . . I tell you, old age isn't what it cracked up to be. . . Purchased an ultra-violet torch to find some dry but smelly cat pee. Found the offending stain, but have just made the mistake of shining it around the kitchen
To think, we prepare food in that pigsty |

Ah, yes. I have an ultraviolet ~10" tube lamp (plugs in) and have learned that sometimes, you really don't want to know. Also, the sprays designed to get rid of the cat pee either (a) have similar stuff in them or (b) remove it by spreading it around as far as you spread the fluid; because after using them, the whole area lights up.

I've just cleaned underneath my bed, I know I did this before, but I couldn't remember when. What came out couldn't be called dust bunnies. More dust elephants.
After that I took the kittens upstairs and they're now exploring my rooms. Luna is in my bedroom, Maru just appeared from under my bed. I'm now waiting for something to come crashing down. LOL. |
