Pricing oddities

I'm sure they are legion, but here's the latest: Amazon's quirky and occasionally unfathomable recommendations system recommended a book by Michelle Sagara for me. I checked the Kindle bookstore, and there are all three books in one series, for $5.04 each (which totals out to $15.12).

Or, for a special added bonus, you can get all three books bundled together - for $20.90, an increase of $5.78 over the combined individual prices.

Huh?

To whom would I send it? Amazon or the publisher? Pretty sure Amazon doesn't set the prices.

It also looks like that bundled book is only available as a Kindle edition. I don't see a paper equivalent.

I'd send a note to Amazon.

So I did send email on the day I posted the thread (because daffy told me to). No reply, no price change...

Also, I'm halfway through the first book, and the hand of a stern editor was much needed. Some good concepts, but so-so execution.

Don't you go to flea markets. You see signs all the time... like

$4 EACH

or

2 for $10

People buy two thinking they are getting a deal.

Could just be clever pyschology. Perhaps people buy one for $4 who otherwise wouldn't have done so .
