Can we have two files with the same format (like PDF) for one book entry?
Hello,

I have a library with books in multiple formats (PDF, docx, ePub), and for one format (PDF), books are presented with different dimensions (content is the same).

Is there a way that one book entry in Calibre may link to few PDFs? It seems that one and only one format per book entry is allowed.

You can use the data files feature of calibre to have as many files of a given format as you like associated with a book record.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. That's indeed what I shall do.

Are these files be available in the web browser? I have tried to find them, but so far I could not. If not, could they be made available in the future?

Just open the file in the browser. In Chrome, Firefox and Edge (not sure about other browsers) Ctrl+O will initiate a File Open dialogue, example in Edge:

Where is what's shown in the the server Book details panel configured?

Why is the Folders item absent? I think I know why but I don't use the server in anger… so I'm guessing.

I can add the ability to download them certainly or add new files, but viewing probably not. I dont know how useful downloading is though, which is why I havent bothered so far. If you want the ability to download the files, open a bug report requestiong it and I will get around to it eventually.

Thank you all for your contributions to the discussions.

For the moment, I only wish to have the possibility to download the data files from the web browser, without opening them.

To explain a little, the files to be opened directly in the browser are the (e-)books, and only one instance per format is needed. But when one wants to access a book for printing purposes, the PDF may have been prepared differently in the same way as Adobe InDesign would give you the possibility to save an Adobe PDF (interactive) and an Adobe PDF (print).

In my case, I have PDF files with a different layout specifically for printing, reason why I would find this feature useful.

So I'll open a bug report as Kovid suggests, and be patient.
