Version notice

Hello friends,

For various reasons I find the version notice displayed along the bottom of most Calibre windows ("calibre vx.x.x created by Kovid Goyal") off-putting and would like to remove it. Is this best accomplished through configuration, editing resources, or modifying source code? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I don't understand why this irks you, but you could run from source and replace line 164-165 in calibre/src/calibre/gui2/init.py with the following:
Code:
		self.default_message = ''
Those are two apostrophes.
