Failure to block-indent PML \t sections

When adding a Dropbox-created PDB book, the Calibre E-book Viewer (v0.7.32) fails to block indent sections which were surrounded by \t in the original PML source.

Here is some simple PML code which uses \t around the second paragraph paragraph to indent the entire block:

=========
Here is the indented paragraph:

\tThis is a really boring indented paragraph, for example purposes only.\t

And the normal text resumes here.
==========

On Nook for PC the PDB looks like this (overly narrowed for emphasis):

=========
Here is the indented
paragraph:

____This is a really boring
____indented paragraph, for
____example purposes only.

And the normal text
resumes here.
==========

In Calibre E-book View, after adding the PDB to Calibre and then choosing view (with no explicit conversion):

=========
Here is the indented
paragraph:

____This is a really boring
indented paragraph, for
example purposes only.

And the normal text
resumes here.
==========

It is as if only a single TAB was inserted, and the block indent was ignored. PML clearly defines \t as "Indent block," not TAB.

This is without any explicit conversion. However, after converting to other formats, say to ePub, the problem is perpetuated. The same result is observed in the new format: only a single TAB, no block indent.

I also tried adding the PML directly to Calibre and converting to ePub to view. Results were the same.

Is it a bug? If no, is there a better way to get PML source into Calibre accurately?

p.s.

I tried two styles of \t in the PML, both with the same result:

\tindented pp\t

\t
indented pp
\t
