Das wurde hier schonmal angesprochen, die ganze Sache war aber wohl nicht so ganz astrin, auch von Seiten der Kundin nicht.

Trotzdem eine ausgesprochen krasse Reaktion von Seiten Amazons.

Das ist alles interessant, aber ging es nicht ursprünglich um die Pocketbook Reader? Kann man eventuell überprüfen, welche Zugriffe von außerhalb auf das Gerät vorgenommen werden?

Das dürfte schwierig sein, vielleicht erstellt dein Router ein Protokoll, sonst eher nicht.
Abgesehen davon aber ist der einzige Laden der (theoretisch) auf deinen PB zugreifen kann Obreey über die Sync-Funktion, ansonsten niemand (ausser den normalen Gefahren durch Hacker in privaten WLAN Netzen).
Ich habe mich vor ca. einem Jahr mal bei Ciando erkundigt was mir gekauftem Content passiert wenn ich z.B. mal mein Konto kündige, die Antwort war recht schlicht (und hier nur sinngemäss widergegeben):

"Nichts! Die Lizenzverwaltung unterliegt der Firma Adobe, die mitzählt auf wievielen Geräten ein Ebook gespeichet wird und beim sechsten mal dann die Lizenz einfriert (kein weiteres kopieren, aber unbegrenzt auf den Bestand zugreifen)."

Ich denke der Unterschied zu den angesprochenen Amazon-Geschichten liegt bei unseren Geräten darin, das bei Amazon Händler und Lizenzverwalter die gleiche (juristische) Person sind, während bei Epubs tatsächlich der Händler nur lizenzen verkauft und Adobe nur über die Lizenzeinhaltung wacht.

Um aber ganz sicher zu gehen bleibt nur die Möglichkeit WLAN nie einzuschalten, DRM entweder nicht zu kaufen oder nicht zu nutzen und Content nur über einen isolierten PC mit Calibre auf deinen Reader zu übertragen, alternativ den Reader nicht anschliessen sondern alles über die Speicherkarte abzuwickeln.
