[GUI Plugin] Quality Check

ok two hours later it finished found 139
now the first 15 were drm'ed great
then next few(6 or 8) were some of each then all rest (i must have check 40 more) were not drm'ed?
so i was expecting a bunch more, but since a lot opened ok?? did not work?????

Is there a quick way to untoggle marked or pinned books after cleaning them up? Example: When I run the check Metadata for Check Author Sort. I may have several books pinned with red pins. After fixing the selected books, I was wondering if there was a way to "clear all" the red pins from the selected books.

Hello, I'm searching for embedded fonts in my books w/ Quality Check and received these parsing errors with nothing found though I know via Edit Book that there are some there, how can I fix it? Thanks -

Maybe I'm doing this wrong, or this is the wrong plugin. What I'm basically looking for is a way to find out if I'm missing new books. Not a gap in a series, e.g. I have books 1, 3 and 4 and I'm missing the second book.

Instead I'd like to get notified if book number 5 of a series is available where I have only the first four books in my collection.

That isn't something this plugin can do for you I'm afraid. Getting that sort of information requires going out to the internet - and asking who? There is no universal catalog out there of books and series nor even agreement in many cases of the series ordering, numbering and certainly not the series names. Then all the complications of republishing due to different book formats, or new issues of older books.

Basically it is just impossible I'm afraid - as much as I too would like it. The best you can do is subscribe to sites like authoralerts or whatever and deal with emails...

Search the Internet Plugin
It offers actions based upon a SINGLE selected book:
eg. Search Fantastic Fiction for Author (there you see the authors works)

I use Overdrive plugin for this and search for books by author.
Sometimes it includes series info, but even if not, at least I see new books by the author.

I'm encountering the UTF-8 issue where apostrophes are rendered as a mix of special characters when I send some of my epubs to a kindle. I can correct them with the HTML -> UTF-8 method of Modify ePub, but is there any way to use Quality Check (or other tool) to identify en masse which books need this modification before sending them to the kindle?

Use Modify ePub to set your ePub to UTF-8.

Is there any material risk associated with using Modify ePub to set ePubs to UTF-8? Or can I safely apply it to my whole catalog of ePubs - thereby sidestepping the need to identify which ePubs require the modification?
