Non breaking space (possible) bug
Hi,
I'm using Sigil 0.9.5 with Qt 5.5.1 running on a Lubuntu 16.04 machine. The attached epub test file have only 3 lines of text in section0001.xhtml. First line includes an entity (non breaking space). Second one have an & entity. And third one have no entities. When editing text in book view (say, by example, delete or add a space to the third line), the non breaking spaces of the first line are duplicated in the code view. Entity of line 2 is not duplicated. Toggling to book view, editing something, and returning to code view, duplicates all nbsp entities in xhtml section. Successive changes with toggle views result in an exponentially duplication on this nbsp entities. |

It's bug in the version of libxml2 on your system. It's been fixed before. and has resurfaced again. Unfortunately, no one can seem to get the maintainer of libxml2 to take any notice.
In the meantime, I've created a bug free version of libxml2 that can be installed alongside Sigil (does not affect the system version of libxml2 at all). There's a sticky thread here that describes how to install the workaround to an existing sigil installation. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=277628 |

Thank you, DiapDealer.
Your bug free version of lixml2 for Sigil works fine; thanks again. Greetings from Barcelona! |
