Can not reset factory

Hi tshering,

Now I was forgot the password and I can't reset factory my Kobo reader.
When I push to reset button it will request input password.

I am using Kobo Glo HD with koreader.
Please help me.

You could request a firmware image in the appropriate thread. Then open your Glo HD, remove the microSD card, flash the image to it, update the firmware, install any patches and add-ons (if you previously did), set your settings, load your eBooks and go.

If by "reset button", you mean the pinhole reset near the USB socket, then that just restarts the device. It is not involved in doing a factory reset. See https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kobo_Reset:_Glo_HD for the methods of doing a factory reset. You probably want the last one.

The touch screen corners method (or hold light button method?) should trigger the factory reset before the system is even booted... so yes, should work. It will also format and delete everything so your files are somewhat protected regardless.
