is it possible to use a rooted nook as a "e-writer" with an external keyboard?

I really really need an eink-display to write stuff...

I have a rooted Nook color with an external keyboard, I don't know about the e-ink nook. I have never rooted my N1E. The Nook color is great with a keyboard.

I don't see how it would work. Most external keyboards work via bluetooth, right? The Simple Touch doesn't have a bluetooth chip.
