Paragraph Spacing Assistance Requsted Please
So I've tried converting and reconverting with the "remove paragraph spacing(?)" checked, which didnt work, so i decided to dick around with the editor to see if i could figure out how to fix it, i found a way to fix it manually, as in one spacing at a time..... which would take forever in this 10k plus page epub.
So i'm looking for assistance on a way to make this easier/shorter either through the editor or through the conversion utility please. There are two lines that are almost the same, if i remove the bottom of the two lines, that will remove the line spacing. But i cant use add/remove because each pair has a slight difference from the previous pair (the "data-1num="(this number)). if anyone can help with this i would greatly appreciate it! Ive marked the lines that if removed will remove the spacing between paragraphs. Last edited by BetterRed; 03-05-2019 at 08:46 AM. Reason: remove oversize image - see Guideline #9 |

None of the text appears to be in paragraph tags. It looks like you might be able to just delete all the paragraph tags and then add simple tags to the remaining text.
You'll need to find/replace with a grep expression and a blank replace field. Try (on a copy!) <p class="calibre6".*> </p> which should remove all paragraphs that are just a non-breaking space. |

Everyone of those lines of text has TWO <p tags. The first is your blank line.
Beautify (pretty) using the flower icon and they will become obvious Remove those, then join the split paragraphs Search Code:
([[:alpha:],]["”]*)</p>\s*<p\b[^>]*>([a-z“"]) Code:
\1 \2 |
