The reason I'm pushing for a date is that I want to get an eReader soon, but I'm willing to wait until January, if I could be sure that its going to be available by then. If it wasnt going to be out until say February or March then I'd probably go with the Sony PRS 600 for now.

Thanks.

The date is not 100% set. It depends on Netronix ability to produce a non-glaring not-a-lemon hardware asap. I know for sure that we'll bring samples of 302 and some more surprisingly non-pocket-size PocketBooks (as Breck said here: Oxymoron readers, love that)) to the CES-2010 in LV in this coming January.
I wish I had them in stock NOW, because from what I see on the keyword search for my website, 'PocketBook 302' hits first place most of the days...

Hi, welcome to MR!

I'm very glad now I can calmly focus on the German-speaking part of the forum.

Thanx, will try to control the questions, but its not so easy as I am a new specialist. Good news is that I have a whole team working with me in one office.

Talking about the Big Brother on the Netronix website, aren't you? Yes, I look forward to that, too! Imagine, one big screen reader for at-home-reading and MM (= Mighty Mouse, my nickname for my 360) for reading on the road! That would be an ideal couple! Now, if it would be possible to sync between those two!!

Hi, Hogan! For sure I can not tell you the exact date. I can advise you to visit CES Exibition in Vegas January 7-10, where PocketBook will show all innovations including PB302! By the way PocketBook invites everyone who is interested!

No problem. You buy the ticket, too?

Is Big Brother (the one with the big screen) making an apparition in Vegas, too?

I like nicknames. My 360 is MM (Mighty Mouse). Looking forward to be testing BB and the 302! Can't wait!

Hi PBook UA, I wasnt looking for an exact date but it would be good if I had a rough idea of what your estimate is. Do you think it will be January, February or March of next year? Maybe you'll announce the date at CES.

Speaking of CES ... I wish I live in Ireland so it would be hard to justify a trip to LV to see the PocketBook 302! Still, it would be geat if you guys could video your demos and post them up on Youtube for the rest of us to view?

Hogan, I think we can give more accurate information after LV. Thats a good idea about Youtube, we work on it. So far only pics are availiable, and soon you can find them on The-eBook or Pocketbook.com.ua

PBook UA:
I am really enjoying the 360.
The ergonomics are excellent and the feature set is comprehensive.

One major request: would it be possible to provide a "Settings" menu pick to make the 360 default to FBReader instead of Adobe for ePub? My preferred ebook source (Baen.com) does not believe in DRM and I really prefer FBReader to Adobe. (Sorry, I know your folks spent a lot of effort to make Adobe decent.) I just prefer end-user typographic controls which FBreader does much, much better.

In more general (blue sky) terms, there might be some value in providing a file association menu where one could assign which app opens which file format type. This would allow integration of third-party apps (coolreader, alternate jpg viewers, comic book viewers, etc) with the bookshelf, no?

A minor request: might it be possible to combine "keyboard lock" option with the "last ten books opened" function? Two nice features + only one button = minor annoyance.

Other than that you pretty much hit the sweetspot for 5" readers. On all counts: ergonomics, intuitive controls, nice balance of features and plenty of user control. Unlike some of your competitors, you understand it is *our* reader and it should work *our* way.

If Big Brother is even *half* this good it will bear serious looking into.

Good luck!
