Does anyone know where the files for Kindle are stored for the above? It is so I can point Calibre at them, I can't find AMZ files anywhere?? Thanks |

Yep, a search yields no results, including wildcard.

Installing Windows 7 Reader works, seems to be an issue with the metro app.

The metro app doesn't store files separately - it probably uses a database. As you've found, though, Kindle for PC works fine under Windows 8.
