Hi there!

I came across this forum yesterday when I was looking for a solution to a problem with my Sony PRS 505. I have been using it since Christmas and never had any problems. Over the weekend something updated on the PC and the Ebook Reader library won't open. Anyhow, I have found "Calibre" and will be using this from now on. I was delighted to find this site it's nice to have a forum for all the other ebook reader addicts. I have really enjoyed using my Sony for the past few months though, I still find myself visiting the second hand bookstores for the special "old book smell" you don't get anywhere else.
Bye for now!

Welcome to Mobileread, mochua.

I find I just browse Fictionwise when I'm in need of a bookstore fix. A dangerous habit - I now have well over a year's worth of books waiting to be read on my CyBook.

Less than two years' worth?! Wow, I admire your self-control!

Hi Mochua and welcome to Mobile Read!
I'm a little maniacal about the old book smell myself, and I think it's a passion that should never be left aside! I don't think your Sony is jealous...yet!

Welcome Mochua

I love the old book smell too - unless it is accompanied by damp. Actually, one of the first things I do with any pbook is smell it. A lot don't smell of much, some smell utterly vile (drying blood, f'r example), and some smell rather nice. Hrm. I probably oughtn't be admitting to this in public...

Welcome to MobileRead, mochua!

I'm glad you've found us and I'm sure you will continue to find MR a great source of information.

Oh . . . that old book smell . . . don't they have a spray for that?
