convert html to mobi for kindle2

Greets,
How come my calibre (C) inputFormats only shows EPUB?
I want to convert html to mobi for kindle2.
(is that the correct choice for kindle?).
The following topic in C says:
<<"How do I convert a collection of HTML files in a specific order?"
In order to convert a collection of HTML files in a specific oder, you have to create a table of contents file. That is, another HTML file that contains links to all the other files in the desired order. Such a file looks like:
...............................................
Then just add this HTML file to the GUI and use the convert button to create your ebook.
>>
What does it mean add the HTML file to the GUI. What GUI? Where?

Thanks...vmars

GUI = Graphical User Interface. You are using it. Click "Add books" in the upper left of the main window.

When I ADD an *.html
and then click on CONVERT
the only INPUT Format it offers me is ZIP .
I was expecting an HTML INPUT option.
How come no such option?
Can someone show me an example or TUT of how to convert HTML to MOBI?

Thanks...vmars

Calibre only recognizes ebooks as single files. One file one ebook. So HTML (which can have multiple files) is put along with any files it references into a zip file.

That ZIP file you see after adding HTML to calibre is the HTML you added. Convert to MOBI using the ZIP file.
