How to properly exit Calibre

Feel ashamed to ask this - but how do exit Calibre making sure all operations have completed properly?

I can't find a single place to exit the program other than just slamming the window shut . . . that can't be good.

Actually it depends on how calibre has been configured.

If you have it set to minimize to the system tray (Preferences | Look & Feel | Enable system tray icon) then the big red x merely minimizes it to the System Tray.

Ctrl+Q though will close it as will selecting Close on the icon in the System Tray.

And these standard Windows ways out of most programs, work if you don't have the 'minimise to the tray' setting checked
