Hard to press buttons on nook touch?

I've had my Touch for a couple weeks, but it takes a decent amount of force to use the physical page turn buttons. Do they soften up over time (as you press them more and more?) Any ideas on how to improve this?

They are a bit hard to press, yes. I haven't noticed any improvements over time and I've had it since launch.

They made some changes on the glow, the buttons are easier to press on that version.

Having owned both I would agree completely with afv011 comments.

I find the buttons on my Glow to still be hard to press because they are so skinny. Even though I was a diehard button pusher on my original Nook, now I tap the screen to turn.
