Crichton's new novel "Next" available... or not?
According to Sony's online store, Crichton's new novel Next is available for $15.96 (screenshot). But when I click on it (link: http://ebooks.connect.com/product/40...000048657.html) the store says "An error has occurred" (screenshot).
And the desktop CONNECT software... well it doesn't even know that the book exists (screenshot). What's going on here? |

Thanks Jashsu, it worked now. Had to press the browser refresh twice to clear the cache.
Seems like the Sony store had some synchronization problems. |

Interesting book choice, Tad. Here are two early reviews:

Looking forward to reading it. I've read "State of Fear" a month ago and loved it. It gave me a new perspective on Ecology and the protection of the environment, just like "The Apollo Conspiracy" did to me for space programs a while back.

Thanks for the tip. I always like reading any Crichton, State of Fear was no exception. BTW, this novel is already number 1 in Connect Top 10.

I used to really like Crichton's books, but his recent stuff leaves me cold - to my mind he's made a big mistake going down the unfortunate road of "politicizing" science. The truth of science does not - despite what Mr Crichton appears to think - depend on one's political affiliations, and issues such as "global warming" won't "disappear" if you just ignore them or pretend that they are an invention of your political opponents. Mr Crichton isn't doing himself or anyone else any favours by writing books such as "State of Fear".

How ever passionate one gets about his opinions, it is always a good idea to look at both sides of a medal. Crighton did a good job with "State of Fear". I find that the points he addressed will help to clearly define which paths will be more helpful to take, facing the concerns issued.
