Finally got my DX
And I have to say that the larger size, and the added text that can be displayed, is a little overwhelming. I have been using the K2 since it was first released and I guess it is going to get some getting used to.

Once you get used to it you'll wonder why you waited so long. Fewer page turns. So much more text/page. Actually can see illustrations! Have fun!

I am starting to see what you mean. While it is not easy to carry around like the K2, it is even closer to reading a regular book as I think you can get with an ereader (for me at least)

Congrats on your new puppy! I know some people prefer K2 in the long run. I'm curious how it works out for you.

Congrats! Hope you like it. I never had a K2, just jumped right on the DX, but I love it. Portability isn't a problem for me, though, since I carry a purse and just pop it in there.

For portability, you could always put it in a back pack or messenger bag. Those aren't easily confused with 'man purses'.

In as little as a week I have gotten a good mix using my iPhone/DX as a reading combo |

This is what makes the Kindle 2 attractive. If I must carry something ... I can handle the Kindle 2 since it's like carrying a book with me and I'll do that if going out to have a coffee "and a read". (I've tried the Blackberry Bold for e-reading but, um, no thanks.) I have to add, this portability issue is high on the list of why I like the Kobo -- it is considerably smaller and lighter ... but the identical screen size as the Kindle 2. Still, maybe I'll become a Kindle DX convert down the road. I can always hand it over to my husband for him to carry in HIS man purse! |

Congrats on your DX. I have one and it is just an awesome e-reader. As for the portability issue I still have my K2 and iPhone.

I could not justify keeping the K2 so I sold it to my aunt and got her reading
