Touch margins
How can I take a Kindle Touch and change the margins such that they are not so wide. The Kindle Touch has never been jailbroken and has the 5.3.2 firmware installed. I'd like to be able to change the margins for both Mobi & KF8.

The Touch has three margin options. They can be found by tapping the top of the screen (with a book open) to bring up the menu options the tap "Aa", this will bring up a menu where you can change font size and face and also line spacing and margins.

The smallest setting is too big. The idea is to make the margins even smaller then that.

There are (or were) some simple non-jailbreak hacks for older Kindles but I've never found one for the Touch. This is one thing that really pisses me off about Amazon--they don't seem to give a darn about allowing us more control over things like margins. For me the smallest margins are too big on a 6" reader, but they are ridiculously huge on a iPhone or smaller type screen. This is one of the things many have complained loudly about for years but Amazon just ignores us.

You can't personalize the margins without jailbreaking on FW 5.x Kindles.

it could potentially prevent you from future firmware updates theoretically, though it's more likely that the jailbreak file would be deleted during the update process (if not left intact).
